Lara Lignitz is a Soprano and citizen of the Cherokee Nation who is currently based out of Dallas, Texas.  Trained in classical singing, Lara has performed as a principal singer in operas such as Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Britten’s The Turn of the Screw and Magda in Menotti’s  The Consul. Additionally, Lara is a trained actor who has been seen in such roles as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Cathy in The Last Five Years. She has been honored to perform as a soloist in such concerts as the world premiere of Melissa Dunphy’s Four Poems of Nikita Gill, and Mozart’s Requiem. Her superb high notes along with an embodied connection to the music make her a performer who stands out on any stage.
